Datavrn
About

Built by the people who produced these packs.

Datavrn is built by two Chartered Accountants who have spent their careers producing management reporting — and rebuilding the same assembly layer by hand, in every role, because it never existed as software.

Srivatsa qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013 and has spent the years since across every seat in the finance function. In practice, producing management reporting, audit and tax work for a portfolio of clients. At a global technology corporation, strengthening controls across a $12 billion receivables book and treasury operations running in fifty-plus currencies. And as the finance function's first hire at a venture-backed SaaS company — building the monthly close, the controls and the board reporting from scratch, keeping them clean through Big 4 audits, then running pricing, planning and investor metrics as its VP of Finance & Business.

Every one of those seats had the same thing in the middle: a spreadsheet between the books and the decision, rebuilt every cycle. Datavrn is that layer, built properly.

Geethanjali qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013 and has spent the years since in precisely the work Datavrn encodes: budgeting and variance analysis, segment profitability reporting, multi-entity management reporting and consolidation, and due-diligence support. She has produced the packs, run the allocations, reconciled the eliminations and answered for the numbers in the room — cycle after cycle, for businesses of very different shapes.

When a figure in Datavrn drills to its source, or an estimate carries its basis, that is her standard for what a number must be able to survive.

Why we're building this

Between us, we have produced management reporting from every side of the table — the CA firm serving many clients, the global corporation, the venture-backed startup, the operating business. The tools changed; the layer in the middle never did. The allocations, the consolidation, the judgement that turns a trial balance and five other systems into something a board can act on — it lived in spreadsheets and in people's heads, and it was rebuilt from scratch every month.

We are building Datavrn so that layer is encoded once and runs every cycle — with the working shown, every figure traceable to source, and honest about what it doesn't know.

We're pre-launch, working with a small group of design partners. If your team produces management reporting, we'd like to talk.
